What do you use to help the scars?

I was going to get Mederma, but my BFF said it didn't help after her pregnancy.  I am starting to use Jojoba Oil on the scars.

Is there anything anyone has found that works really well?

Actually Merderma helped me...maybe it just did not help your BFF. Doesn't mean you can't try it yourself.

Edited to add: I had a really BAD scar from scraping my leg on asphalt last summer after falling off my bike. I used Merderma almost 6 months after and unless you know I hurt my leg, you can no longer see the scar on it. The original scrap covered about half my shin.

Maderma will only work on a "scar" that is on the top layers of skin, like a scrap or a inflammation not on a real scar where the skin has been cut into.  Unfortunately nothing will really help those except for time.

I have a really gross raised scar down my abdomen and I tried everything, maderma, vitamin E, collagen, etc.  The only thing that has done anything is time, it has started to fade and is looking better but it will never go away.

It was totally worth it, I'll live with the scar now that I am actually living!!!  :)

AMEN to that!!!! Merderma can't hurt it, or anything else she wants to try.

Oh, and the scrap on my leg went almost to the bone...it was U.G.L.Y.! :)

Each person is different.  I use the vitamine E oil at bedtime and it seems to be helping.

The perfect thing to cover up the scars is a cute t-shirt.
Same goes for stretch marks.

After losing weight the scars were the least of my skin worries.  Ended up with so much nasty ugly wrinkly puckery droopy skin that it was hard to see the surgical scars. It didn't matter if the scars showed because my belly would never be seen in public anyway.

Mederma is expensive and you have to use it a long time for it to work.

I tried a variety of items on my scars.  They may be not as noticeable, but they are definitely there.  Wear them with pride!
